   La papèterie et l’imprimerie du Bas-Rhin travaillent encore pour l’étranger, quoique bien moins qu’avant la révolution; mais la moindre exportation au dehors des frontières, suffit pour prouver que les douanes ne donnent aucun avantage à cette branche d’industrie (28).

   The paper mill and the print shop in Bas-Rhin are also operated for foreign countries, though to a much less degree than before the revolution. But the least exportation beyond the borders suffices to prove that customs duties give no advantage to this branch of industry (28).
